About The Festival

Belper's annual Food Festival was started to help with the promotion of good quality, locally produced goods, with many small, independent farmers and producers in our beautiful part of England and with the demand for good quality foods on the increase Belper is well suited to become the center of food excellence in Derbyshire.

Belper Food Festival 2007 was an outstanding success with some 1500 visitors throughout the day despite heavy downpours. The Food Festival Committee would like to thank all the stall holders, marshals, voulenteers and all connected with the festival for their help and support in 2007.

The 2008 festival is set to be a grander affair with more stalls, more entertainment and heopefully better weather! This year will also see the addition of a beer festival to be held on Belper's Market Square.

We are currently looking for anyone interested in promoting their produce or providing entertainment either on one of our two stages or as street performers.

This site will be regularly updated so check back often for the latest news.

The Belper Food Festival would like to thank the Belper Town Council for all their support.

In the News

I cannot express how grateful I am to each and every person who braved the rain to come and see the event. It really was overwhelming to look down from the top of King Street to see a sea of umbrellas. A special thanks should be extended to our performers who added a little sunshine on a rainy day.
